On Monday, December 16, Amelia International is pleased to announce that it will operate the Rodez-Paris Orly route for 4 years as part of a public service obligation (PSO).The company is planning a first flight on January 20, 2020.

Amelia International, the airline of the French group Amelia (by Regourd Aviation), has a strong regional territorial presence, already operating daily flights on behalf of Air France from Lyon, Lorient, Paris, Aurillac and Castres. The company is now expanding its activities with the operation of scheduled air services between Rodez and Paris under its own brand.

A real régional economic challenge

Air connections area major challenge for the region: in the absence of high-speed rail links or even motorways, they open up the Aveyron department and are essential for the development of the regional economy.

“The Amelia group is committed to actively participating in the development of the French regional economic structure. The exploitation of the Rodez-Paris Orly air route is a new step in this direction. We look forward to putting our operational expertise at the service of the Aveyron habitants, in particular our reliability and punctuality. In this context, we would like to thank the local authorities for their trust in us over the next 4 years,” says Alain Regourd.

Meeting the General Public

Amelia now offers its expertise, developed over 40 years of air operations with professionals (companies, governments, high-level sports groups, etc.), to the benefit of the Aveyron. Since its creation, Amelia has placed a strong emphasis on the values of reliability and punctuality; standards applied on the Rodez – Paris Orly route.

Passengers will travel in aircraft equipped with fifty seats and will enjoy a pleasant flight experience thanks to a bright and quiet cabin. These twin-engine aircraft are adapted to these flight frequencies and have already proven their worth by ensuring remarkable reliability and punctuality on regional flights.

Flight schedules will take into account the different needs of passengers, both professional and leisure travellers:

  • During the week, professionals will be able to make the round trip on a daily basis from Paris or Rodez, benefiting from a time slot of at least 8 hours at destination and a schedule of 3 round trips per day.
  • At the end of the week, tourists, particularly from Aveyron or Paris, will have the opportunity to enjoy a weekend in Aveyron or Paris with the schedule of 3 round trips over the weekend.
